The risk of microbiological contamination in cereals and grains is high and potentially disastrous.

Both gamma irradiation and ethylene oxide processes (EtO) can be used to eliminate or control pests and the microbiological contamination of cereals and other grains.

Both processes are used to eliminate bacteria and moulds in animal feed. They ensure unwanted seeds can’t germinate.

Pests that have been successfully destroyed by Steritech’s decontamination methods include beetles, moths, weevils and mealworms.

The ethylene oxide and gamma irradiation processes ensure that the high quality of the product is maintained.
