Background
For almost 40 years, Steritech has been a world leader in decontamination and sterilisation. Steritech emerged in Melbourne in the 1970’s as a pioneer in gamma irradiation processing. Today, Steritech is the leading contract sterilisation and decontamination processor in the Asia-Pacific region and one of the largest worldwide.
Steritech is proud to be an Australian family-owned company. With plants in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, we operate the only commercially available irradiation plants in the country. We offer currently three effective sterilisation and decontamination: gamma irradiation, ethylene oxide processing (EtO) and heat treatment. In 2011, Steritech submitted a Development Application to expand our Queensland site to introduce X-ray technology as a fourth treatment option for our customers.
Steritech’s processes decontaminate and sterilise a range of products. Steritech routinely processes over 100 different products, everything from medical products to quarantine goods. At Steritech, we are proud of our quality and control systems as well as our excellent record in safety and environmental performance. We continually strive to ensure the best possible work practices are maintained at every stage of our business. In addition, Steritech is licensed and accredited by a number of authorities, including the Therapeutic Goods Administration, Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service, Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority and the relevant State Environmental Protection Agencies and Radiation Health Departments.
Mr Ian Dicker has been the Chairman of Steritech for more than 20 years and Mr Murray Lynch, who has been with the company for more than 30 years, has been the Chief Executive Officer of Steritech since 2010.
